Description
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission enforces federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination. Currently, EEOC has enforcement responsibility for the following federal statutes: Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, Sections 501 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978, Title I and Title V of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Title II of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act of 2022. This dataset consists of employment discrimination charges filed with EEOC by individuals and records information including the statute, issue, and basis for the charge, case resolution, the geographic location of the employer, and anonymized demographic information of the charging party.
