A single ASCII data file (triad.dat) contains variables for the six Parent-Infant/Toddler Interaction Coding System-Revised (PICS-R) scales, the videotape duration, the divided attention measure, the child behavior measure, and the triadic positioning measures. The data file has one record per individual child, with each record including data for the focal child and the focal child’s twin. The file also includes the child and twin case ID values that can be used to link the twin triad data file to the main ECLS-B data file (e.g., the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, Birth Cohort (ECLS-B) Longitudinal 9-Month–2-Year Restricted-Use Data File and Electronic Codebook (NCES 2006-044)).

USDA offers offsite remote access via a secure internet connection using the researcher’s own computer and web browser to approved datasets for data analysis within the Data Enclave.
